My Experience
For the last 3 years I have been caring for my mum in the Midlands. Prior to that, I was working as an employed part time nanny alongside some self employed private tutoring. I was also employed as a Direct Payments PA providing independence support one weekend a month to my 21 year old autistic nephew.
Before that I was a primary school teacher (early years specialist) - formerly as a permanent class teacher, latterly as ad hoc supply, but I've had a winding career path from construction to primary teaching via payroll software implementation! In the more distant past I was also a state registered childminder for 5 years looking after pre-school children (babies and toddlers) alongside my son.
My Qualifications
9 O levels, 3 A levels and Bsc (Hons) Building.
Relevant to childcare:
Diploma in Playgroup Practise (NVQ level 3 - NNEB equivalent)
PGCE Primary Teaching
