About Me
Hello, I have been a self employed nanny since for the last 6 years. I am very proactive and have a friendly & fun nature. I am happy to help out where ever I can whether it's taking your children out for a trip to the museum, helping out with light housework or spending lots of time creating artwork, completing school work/ EYFS development and having fun whilst learning key skills. I love children and believe that they require lots of love, attention and patience to thrive.
Whilst caring for your children I aim to help them with their personal development by tailoring daily activities to help further develop their intellectual, physical, social and language skills. I provide lot’s of educational opportunities through play and activities all in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements set out by OFSTED.
I will also provide a daily report on your children’s development and progress alongside photos and updates so you'll never miss out on their daily adventures and creative activities.
Please feel free to contact me for any further information or if you would like to meet up for a coffee to get to know me a little better before going forward.
My Experience
I currently work as a live out nanny for two families during weekdays.
Over the last 2/3 years I have really loved working with one of my families who have I’ve been with since their little boy was 7 months old. During this time I’ve had the pleasure of teaching him to crawl, walk, talk and now we are learning phonics and he is making his first steps towards learning to read. I also have weaned him on to solid food and potty trained him and we are now working on learning to ride a bike.
For three mornings a week I do school drop off for two girls ages 5 and 8. Each morning we focus on reading, practising piano and creating something fun with arts & crafts or play games or before it’s time to leave for school.
This year I worked with a wonderful family with two young children (6 and 8 years old) for several months. My main duties were to get the children ready for school including getting washed, dressed and making breakfast. We also spent some time either doing home work, crafts, yoga or visiting the park before school started.
For just over two years I cared for a wonderful little boy from 5 years of age and during our time together I focused on enhancing his learning opportunities at home through out the lockdown in tandem with the school curriculum and ensuring he was able to still explore and enjoy activities outdoors and sports. My favourite memories would be when I taught him to ride a bike, encouraging him to improve with his maths through fun games and helping support his avid love of art and sports.
I had the pleasure of working as a live out nanny for a wonderful mother and her 18 month old daughter over a period of a few months during 2018. During this time we worked on developing her language, social, emotional and physical development.
Whilst working as a photographer I thoroughly enjoyed working closely with children of all ages during photo shoots and weddings. My main job during photo shoots was to liaise between the technical team and the children/ parents to help each child feel comfortable and happy during their time behind the camera.
Outside of work I had lots of experience helping raise my younger sister (12 years younger). I also occasionally help out family and friends with childcare for their SEN children who were between the ages of a few months old and 9 years.
My Qualifications
I have successfully completed a common core skills course, attained an enhanced live DBS check (I will provide an access code for this), paediatric first aid certificate and on the voluntary OFSTED register.
My Availability
Please get in contact to discuss my availability further as I will have more availability during school holidays and also possibly 2 days a week from January.

Punctual and made sure her environment was safe ALWAYS. She was excellent with my 1.5yr old engaging her in fun and creative activities that kept her entertained and happy. For example, she would set up the room ready for to explore with stations books, dolls, colouring. Her warm and caring approach made her feel comfortable, and I could see how much she enjoyed her time. Highly recommend!
We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have had the pleasure of welcoming Ashleigh into our lives nearly two years ago. From the beginning, it was evident that we had found not just a caregiver for our 2.5-year-old but a true gem who would become an indispensable part of our family.
Ashleigh possesses extraordinary skills that make her stand out in childcare. Her unwavering patience, creativity, and exceptional ability to connect with our child have fostered a nurturing environment and contributed significantly to our little one's growth and development. It's not just about maintaining basic care – she goes above and beyond, creating engaging activities that stimulate our children's curiosity and imagination.
What truly sets Ashleigh apart is her intuitive understanding of our child's needs and preferences. She has seamlessly integrated into our family dynamics, becoming more than just a caregiver. Ashleigh actively participates in our child's daily routine, demonstrating genuine care and love that extends beyond the job description. Her dedication is remarkable; she consistently goes the extra mile to ensure our child's safety, happiness, and overall well-being.
Communication with Ashleigh has always been open, transparent, and collaborative. She keeps us informed about our child's daily activities, milestones achieved, and any concerns that may arise. This level of transparency has provided us with peace of mind, knowing that our child is in capable hands.
In the nearly two years of having Ashleigh as part of our family, we have seen our child flourish under her care. Their bond is heartwarming, and it's clear that Ashleigh genuinely cares for our child's happiness and development.
In conclusion, we cannot express enough gratitude for Ashleigh's positive impact on our family. Her remarkable skills, compassionate nature, and dedication have made her an invaluable member of our household. We wholeheartedly recommend Ashleigh to any family seeking a caregiver and a nurturing presence that enriches the lives of both parents and children alike.
