My Summary

My Experience

I have just finished working as a nanny/childminder looking after a girl aged 7 and a boy aged 4 two wonderful children that I will miss a lot but hopefully will keep in touch with them unfortunately the dad got another job and had to change childminding hours. My responsibilities included taking them to school and picking them up from school taking them to after school activities
Whilst they were at school I would do light household duties including preparing nutritional meals for the children and anything else that was required. I would do lots of arts and crafts play games basic literacy and numeracy and did lots of baking with them which they really enjoyed I did garden play with garden apparatus which included a slide,swing and a climbing frame. I often took them to the local parks.






I have brought up my children, twin son and daughter, single handed as my husband was working long hours, and they are now 21 years old. When my children were very young, I became a registered childminder which I did for 6 years. In my life I have always been around children and loved every minute of it. worked as a registered Nanny, where I catered for his individual requirements. As his parents are both doctors, they both worked unsociable hours meaning I am flexible throughout the day.

My responsibilities included preparing him for the day ahead by waking him up, giving him breakfast and getting him washed and dressed. Taking him to and from nursery and other activities which include Music class, story time, library and tumble tots. Whilst he is at nursery I complete a series of light household duties including preparing nutritious meals for the family and anything else that is required. In the school holidays I occupied him by taking him to parks, farms, soft play, the library, the cinema and even the theatre. At home we did cooking, arts and crafts, playing games and basic literacy and numeracy that I teach through play.

Previous to this I have worked as a childminder for Jolly Tots play group. I have looked after two brothers aged four and six as a Nanny. A boy aged eight as a Nanny. And at present I am taking care of a boy aged three as a Nanny.

I have also had other jobs including, working in schools as a dinner lady and retail work. All of which is on my CV.

I am a firm believer that the more time and effort you put in to children, the greater reward you get in return. And of course nurturing is a vital part of a child’s upbringing, with lots of praise and encouragement.

My Qualifications

My qualifications-
The certificates I have include;
1) CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare
2) Diploma in Home-based Childcare Unit 1 NCMA
3) Safeguarding Children NCMA
4) First Aid Course for Babies and Children
5). Enhanced disclosure CRB checked
I also have a full UK driving license, and I have been driving for many years and therefore have many years of experience.
