My Summary
About Me
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I hope you and your family are keeping well.
About me... I am a bubbly energetic mature lady with oodles of Childcare experience... "a Mary Poppins", so my friends call me. I am a great encourager, positive influence, lead by example, firm but very fair, fun, and a team player.
I love children, love life and being a part of a growing family. I feel play dates are so important for children, nurturing their school friendships makes school life more fulfilling. I love to organise play dates alongside the parents. I see part of my nanny role includes undertaking the children's laundry, cooking healthy meals, and batch cooking it required, helping and encouraging the children to do their homework/reading by making it a positive time. Which I believe sets them up to be disciplined for future homework studies. I enjoy taking the children to the parks, feeding the birds at the river, taking them to their club's, days out in the holidays and cinema trips, playing games at home, doing crafts together, playing in the garden and having picnics. And I am very happy to take them to Doctor, Dentist, hospital and hairdresser appointments.
I have worked in a boarding school for over 10 years and been around children all my life. I am a qualified DPNC. (Distinction in Post Natal Carer) see my documents attached.
I have a gorgeous golden retriever who adores children and often joins me at work, as families fall in love with my gorgeous boy. . He is so kind, full of love and very obedient.
Many Adults and children who have been scared of dogs soon have their hearts melted, and trust regained when they meet my gorgeous boy.
He is a "Pets as Therapy" Dog. Which means we are able to go into hospices, schools, hospitals, care homes etc to share some Woof love, calmness and cuddles. And for his reward, lots of tummy rubs.
My Experience
Children really bond to me. I am able to meet them at their individual level of age and abilities, bringing the best out of their precious little characters. I bring calmness, stability and lead by example to the whole family. Many parents have asked for my professional advice to help with challenging situations that arise within a family, as they parent their little flock.
My Qualifications
I overflow with hands on childcare experience and all children warm to me as I am loving, fun, friendly, cuddly and nurturing. I am paediatric first aid trained. Health and Hygiene certificate.

We are privileged to have employed Linda as our nanny for 3 years from the 5th January 2021. Linda is reliable, fun, loving and hardworking for my two children aged now 10 and 12.
Linda supervised my children while I was at work. She was responsible for getting the kids to school in the morning, driving them home after school, preparing snacks and meals, and accompanying them to various extracurricular activities. She supported home playdates and was very flexible with her hours as we transitioned between term time and holidays.
Linda is professional, thoughtful and organised as well as being warm, nurturing and responsive to our children’s needs.
She became an invaluable addition to our family and our children simply loved the bonus of having Ollie the dog too. We will miss her and Ollie as well as the contribution they made to our lives.

Thank you lovely lady for your beautiful review. You are so kind. The four of you will always be part of Mine and Ollie's life. Very special people and we are blessed to have met you on our journey.🌷
Linda worked for us as a mothers help in May/June 2020. She was helped keep the house in order and took good care of my daughter so I could relax and have a nap. Thank you for your help Linda xxx
Linda has been a fantastic Nanny to our two children over the past 11 months. We are very sad to have to part ways with her and this is only due to the economic climate that we are currently dealing with. I can not highlight enough how Linda always arrives on time with a smile on her face, ready to get stuck into any area of child care, domesticity in the kitchen or whizzing through the children's washing. She would help with their spellings and listen to them read. I know for other families she would do the children's homework with them. Linda worked most mornings for us arriving at 7am allowing us to get into work early and then worked after school, doing the school run, taking the children to various clubs, keeping them fully fed, which is a huge task as they love so much fruit and veg chopped up! Using her sense of humour and years of child experience to deal with any issues our 7 and 11 year old may have had. In 11 months there was not one problem that arose allowing myself and my husband to focus on my business. On the night that the children had no clubs we manage to talk through timings with Linda to make the day work so she could even cook the whole family a roast once a week, and she was more than happy to pop a jacket potato or something in the oven for myself and my husband if we were working late. Our home and kitchen was always left spotless. She is completely on point with her organisation, she arrived at my house on the first day with a Nanny folder, so we could document medicine given to children, she would write every day the days events and what happened so I knew exactly what they had all done that day. she would diligently work out all the mileage and e-mail a detailed daily account, once a month. I think it is worth mentioning that when Linda came to us we had an awful experience with an Au- Pair so my children would not have been easy to deal with in the beginning and my son has OCD, I think at this point my children just wanted me their mum to be at home full time, but Linda won them round quickly and we have had an extremely happy family. I would come home to laughs and smiles, the children showered and fully fed.
I came across Linda on childcare.co.uk and she messaged me to offer her help with adhoc babysitting so my husband and I could have the odd night out! 😊 it was no problem at all to meet up and have a chat before hand and I had no issue booking straight away. So far Linda has babysat my two just once but I would love to book again when we need. Linda is extremely warm, caring and wonderfully experienced in all ages. She is very accommodating and professional. We are very happy to leave our two in her care. She is the first person other than family to look after them. I know it can be a daunting idea but be rest assured with Linda, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again 😍 a special lady xxx

I am very blessed to know you all.
You are amazing parents.
From a grateful ❤.
Linda
Linda has been baby sitting for us since my son was 6 weeks old.
From day 1 she gave us peace of mind leaving him. She genuinely loves looking after him, she’s so patient with him, even when he was going through his colic phase she was calm and loving and was able to keep the crying to a minimum. She provides very detailed write ups after each baby sitting session, and she accommodates any requests we have eg following a strict routine. She reads to him, plays with him, talks to him, takes him for walks etc).
It’s a pleasure having her in my home. Mom guilt is a real thing but I’ve never felt judged or uncomfortable having her around.
She’s flexible around times and days she can babysit (assuming she’s not already booked elsewhere) and she accommodates last minute changes when we’ve asked.
We’re very grateful to have had her help over the last few months and would be very happy recommending her to other new mums.
