About Me
Hello my name is Kelly and I work alongside my sister Laura. We are both Ofsted registered childminders and have been working together in Kirkby in Ashfield as part of L&K's Little Kingdom since 2017.
My Experience
We have always had a passion for working with children and have gained many years of experience working with children of all ages and in various settings.
I started my career in childcare shortly after finishing college in 2006. I worked in a private day nursery where i worked my way up to be the deputy manager. I then spent 9 years working as a TA in a Special Needs school before leaving to become a childminder and care for my own young children.
Laura has worked in a variety of childcare settings since 2005. She initially worked as a play and PE leader in a physical activity centre, providing various sessions to local schools. She then went on to day nurseries and eventually spent 7 years working alongside me in a Special Needs School.
Together we set up our Chilminding Business in 2017 to care for our own children and provide quality childcare for local families at the same time.
My Qualifications
I have a level 4 qualification in childrens care, learning and development and have completed half of my early years degree through the open university.
I have completed a Full Paediatric First Aid Course and completed a Level 3 course in Child Protection.
My Availability

We are registered to offer the 15 and 30 hours funding from the government for eligible families.

Laura and Kelly are fantastic my little one has been going since august and has come on leaps and bounds he seems to settle down quite quickly once he's been dropped off. The communication between them is fantastic I always get a message how my little one is getting on and what he's been doing I'm very happy with these lovely ladies and Mason seems to love them to which is a bonus highly recommended to anyone with children and toddlers.
They definitely helped my anxiety knowing he's well looked after and taken care off especially being a first time working mum.

My son started with Laura and Kelly when he was around 21 months, he settled in amazingly in their environment. He has a speech delay and he came along so much with them!
They where so helpful and understanding with us during a turbulent time, being flexible and helping where they could, they really did go above and beyond and made difficult period so much easier!
My son has now moved into nursery but my daughter is still with them and has been for months, she has also settled in with ease. Cant recommend enough.

My daughter had been with them 3 months now and they are totally amazing. I wouldn’t have any other childminder. She has progressed fantastically with these ladies and they are super friendly, polite and absolutely amazing with the children. Cannot recommend these enough.

When I went for a meeting with them I felt very welcome and very comfortable, they were both lovely and kind. I cannot wait for my little girls future with them caring for her. 1000% recommend.
