My Summary
About Me
Hi,
I’m a 30 year old Scottish girl. I’m a qualified Early Years teacher ( at level 4) with 10 years experience working with children both in family homes and school settings. I speak fluent Spanish, have first aid training and I’m DBS checked (PVG in Scotland). I’ve worked with children age 4 months to 16 years old. I’m very passionate about my job and always build strong bonds with the children in my classes. I have good knowledge of child development and I’m a reflective practitioner so I often find myself continuing to study and learn new things. I’ve recently been nannying for some lovely families around the area and have really enjoyed it. Happy to provide references. I’m a massive learning through play advocate!! I understand the importance of helping children develop a love for learning… without them even realising!! I love going on outings, planning fun activities, and mainly enjoying the great outdoors! I think the most enjoyable part of nannying is building the special bonds and really enjoying quality time together, without all the paperwork that is involved with teaching.
I live im Woolwich arsenal and work for a lovely family in greenwich monday to thursday 8-6. Looking for extra babysitting jobs in the area on fridays or weekends :)
My Experience
I’ve worked in schools in Scotland and Spain where I was in sole charge of 12 children aged 0-3. I’ve been an au pair before for a family of 7 and a family of 3 as well as doing adhoc nannying for lots of different local families in London so understand the ins and outs of day to day life as a nanny even though most of my experience in the past was in schools. I do feel like my teaching past is beneficial, due to my understanding of child development. I like to ensure the activities I do are age and stage appropriate. I started teaching when I gained my dance teaching qualification when I was 18 years old.
