About Me

My name is Clare Vine. I am a fully qualified and registered childminder. I am a non smoker and I live in Shepperton, just round the corner from Saxon school with my two sons, my daughter, her husband and two beautiful sons. My eldest son was born in 1997, my daughter was born in 1998 and my youngest son was born in 2002.

I have many years of experience of children with learning difficulties and special needs. I spent four years volunteering at the special needs school that my son attended, helping the children with arts and crafts. I have experience with children with autism, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties, Downs syndrome and Velo Cardio Facial syndrome.

I am able to pick up from Saxon Primary School.

I offer a safe home from home environment for all children in my care. Children will have a busy day with lots of activities indoors and outdoors where they can explore, learn and satisfy their growing curiosity. I offer Arts and crafts, cooking and baking, dressing up and imaginative play, musical instruments, books and story time. I have a play house equipped with a play kitchen, table and chairs and plenty of outdoor games. I offer trips to playgrounds, parks, indoor soft play centres, trips to the library and days out in places like the discovery centre and woods in Bracknel etc. There is always time for relaxing too, listening to stories, music, a little television and appropriate games on the playstation. I am happy to let children use the playstation however it is used wisely and not every day as I prefer children to interact with each other and play.
As for naps, I will do my very best to stick to your child's routine were possible, as I feel they settle in well and it makes parents lives easier. I encourage parents to bring any soft toy their child likes to sleep with and will do my best to emulate the sleeping conditions your child is used to.

We have three pets at the moment. We have a dog called Scruffy who is a Miniature Schnauzer crossed with a Bichon Frise which makes her a hypoallergenic dog. Scruffy is a very sweet little dog who loves being around children and often plays a large part in my childminding setting as she knows just when a child needs attention and love.
Our other pet is a black cat called Dave. He is friendly with everyone and is always good for a cuddle. He is very used to being pulled around and made a fuss of. We also have a gerbil called Doris. She loves to be stroked and hand fed. Both my dog and cat are regularly given flea and worming treatments and all vaccinations are done annually.
