My Experience
Ofsted registered childminder
On my recent Ofsted inspection in December 2022 was graded ‘good’. I've been working as a child minder since 2002.covering various ages from 6 weeks old onwards. Before childminding I was a nanny for a few years before having a break to have time with my children. I am aware of the early years foundation stage and work within this. Each child under 5 I assess, observe and track children's progress for their age and stage of development which I record. I love the job watching each child being their own individual, watching them learn, have fun, gain independence, and thrive in my setting. I find it such a rewarding job and feel honoured that parents trust me to look after their child, I have a very close working relationship with parents and local per-school/nursery Qualifications include nvq level3, first aid, child protection, safeguarding, food hygiene, behaviour management, e-safety, makaton level 1 & 2, and many more. I am a member of Childcare.co.uk and recently joined Wiltshire Quality improvement clusters for childminders.
I accept 2,3 4 year 15 & 30 hour funding which I can share with another setting if required.

Jackie looked after my son from 13 months old to 2 and a half yrs and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
Jackie’s setting is a home away from home, and I would even go as far to say that he had a lot more fun there than at home! She always takes the kids out, so they are well stimulated and well socialised. I like the idea that he has other children to play with there and who he looks up to as well as be part of their school runs and general family life.
Jackie has a fun and caring approach and follows the pacey curriculum, so the children are always learning through play and through varied excursions that Jackie embarks on, from visiting farms to train rides and forest walks. The children always look happy and are always well mannered and polite. We are given a daily diary to keep us updated on everything throughout the day/week and also a learning journal which is an ongoing progress report.
Jackie’s daughters have been her assistants and are a credit to her in themselves. My son loves them and has learnt good values from them too.
Jackie’s setting has been an invaluable part of my son’s development and we were incredibly sad to have to leave due to relocation. There will never be another Jackie!
Being a very over protective mum of my 2 children and not from the area I had a look at all possibilities to keep my children save and no one looked ( to my standards, who where considered ) good enough .
All the recommendations I started getting lead to Jackie who now is a very valuable link to our family . Flexible , reliable and good standards to learning , routine , neutrishen and physical needs . I as a mother very highly recommended Jackie as first and only choice .
