Gem of a babysitter

Having found Katie, I'm hoping she will stay around a lot longer! Both children (4 month old and nearly 3 year old) took to Katie instantly. Our toddler generally makes a fuss at bedtime, but Katie put her to bed happy with no trouble at all. The baby is still somewhat temperamental during the evening and Katie managed to calm and settle him for the night.
With Katie's experience and professional manner I had no concerns leaving the children with her for the evening. I feel relaxed that my partner and I can now Enjoy the odd evening together, knowing the children are in safe hands.

Trustworthy and the children love her!

Katie has worked with us just over a year now. My six year old is a tough nut to crack but Katie won her over and my one year old ( now two) took to Katie from the start. We recently moved areas and Katie has been flexible, adapting well to the changes and even helping the children to settle into their new area and meet new friends. Katie has found some lovely local play groups for my two year old and always finds creative and fun activities with both the children during school holidays. Katie has helped us out with last minute changes to pick up/ drop off arrangements with swimming lessons etc. Katie has the knack for getting our two year old to sit and eat at meal times, something we haven't mastered ourselves yet! Katie also prepares the children's meals.
Changes in our circumstances ( mainly me taking a career break) has lead us to the tough decision to let Katie go. The children will really miss Katie, as will I, and I hope we stay in touch. I will definitely be calling on Katie when we need a babysitter!
