My Summary
About Me
My name is Jess, I am 29 and I’m an OFSTED registered nanny. I am an energetic, bubbly, reliable, organised and kind person. I have always been around children as I have a big family and truly enjoy looking after them.
I am a creative person and I have a great understanding of the early years development so I am able to create activities that are fun but also have a developmental value. I enjoy being outside and believe this is important for children’s development. I know simple Makaton and enjoy doing this with children, I believe this is a great support for young children’s communication.
I have a gentle but firm approach when working with children, I like to set clear limits for children whilst maintaining a strong, healthy relationship. I believe it’s very important to work with parents so the children are receiving the same approach and support at all times. I have a child-led play approach as I like to incorporate a developmental value into the children’s play, I believe this works best as it keeps the children engaged and helps encourage their leaning. My goal is to create a healthy, safe and fun environment for children, whilst building a positive relationship with them. I thrive on supporting children’s needs, encouraging their development and becoming a positive role model for them. My main reason for working with children is knowing the positive impact I can have on their lives.
I have worked with multiple children at a time, twins, new borns, SEN children and children up to the age of ten.
My Experience
I have worked with children for over nine years. I worked in a childcare setting in Chertsey and became the manager for the last year of being there, I then moved on to nannying for wonderful families. I have experience with children aged from newborn to 10 years old, I also have SEN experience. I am first aid trained and I was the SENCO and safeguarding lead in the setting I worked in.
I have my CV uploaded onto here, feel free to request the document to see my experience in greater detail.
