About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Ossett. I offer a safe, stimulating and homely environment for your children to play, have fun, learn and develop according to their individual needs.
I have a Diploma in Childcare and Education and also a certificate in child psychology. I continually attend training courses to increase my knowledge and to ensure I am working using the most up-to-date information available.
I work with an assistant which enables us to be more flexible with the care we offer. Our setting is close to parks and play areas which we use all year, we also use our garden to play in and the children help to grow fruit and vegetables in the summer.
We do weekly trips to soft play centres, toddler groups and music classes.
During school holidays we take day trips to local farms, country parks and ice cream Parlours
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 30 years. I started of working as a nanny in the U.K then moved to Spain and continued to work as a nanny. Since returning to the U.K I have worked in day nursery's then in a school until having my own children which is when I decided to set up my own business. I have cared for children with a wide range of needs and always try to make sure the individual needs of all the children are met.
My Qualifications
Diploma in childcare and education.
Paediatric first aid
Safeguarding children and young people certificate. (child protection)
Early years foundation stage training.
Certificate in preventing bullying behaviour

I couldn’t be happier with the childcare our little boy has from Joanne and Diane. I was a very anxious mum when looking for full time childcare for my two year old when I needed to go back to work full time and I’m so glad that I found them, as I really couldn’t have left him in safer hands.
He’s loved and cared for just as much as if he were at home with me, they provide a home from home atmosphere with love and laughs.
They deal with my little ones allergies perfectly and work so hard to find foods he can eat and that match the other kiddies meals so he’s not missing out. They also use a fantastic app which is updated throughout the day so I never have to wonder how he is or what he’s upto; there’s always a photo or a vidieo to show what they’ve been doing too.
All in all they provide a fabulous service which I fully recommend (for a very reasonable cost too!)... I can’t thank them enough for the love and joy and happiness they give to our little man.
