Hello, my name is Debbie. I live in Dunstable with my husband. I am a keen, motivated and trustworthy housekeeper and after school nanny. I am also happy to care for any domestic pets.
My Experience
Since moving to Dunstable in 2015 I have worked as a Housekeeper and also as an after school nanny. Some of my childcare roles were short term and worked around my commitments as a housekeeper. I really enjoyed gaining valuable experience caring for children of various ages.
Most of my roles involved collecting the children from nursery and school, cooking dinner, supervising homework and play, taking them to a variety of after school activities and preparing them for bed. I also babysat for some of the families.
I helped to care for my sisters children as they were growing up and really enjoyed spending time with them and seeing them develop into young adults.
My most recent job (for 2 years) was as an after school nanny 5 days a week ( 20 hours ). The children are now aged 5, 10 and 12. Sadly, this role ended suddenly in January 2024 as the families circumstances changed and they no longer required my services. I do still occasionally babysit for them.
Since then I have been busy with my cat sitting business but I really want to return to childcare as an after school nanny. I am seeking a term time only role and I am available from January 2025.
My Qualifications
I do not have formal qualifications and am not Ofsted registered. I have lots of experience of childcare and references are available.
My Availability
I am available for afternoon through to early evening up to five days a week, term time only

We interviewed Debbie for a nanny position recently, and whilst we ended up offering the role to someone else due to specific experience that we needed, it was a very close call and we would happily have invited Debbie to join our family! She is a mild-mannered and caring lady, but we could tell she would also be principled and firm with the children and uphold the high standards of manners and (considered) discipline that we were looking for.
Hoping this feedback on our conversations and meetings with Debbie will assist her in finding a lovely family to join because we believe she really deserves it :-)
