About Me
Hi, my name is Sophie, I’m a childminder in Great Linford. I have an NVQ level 3 in childcare and education with 17 years experience caring for children of all ages, from new-born up to age 11 and feel very confident working with any age. I have worked in nurseries, pre-schools and was a nanny for 9 years. I became an Ofsted registered childminder in August 2023.
Open 8am - 4pm. £7ph. Inclusive prices with all meals and snacks, nappies & wipes, day trips and playgroup activities included. My home is clean, smoke free and pet free. I have a large kitchen for lots of messy play, arts & crafts and cooking activities, a large lounge where age appropriate toys, books and activities are set up daily. I have a separate safe sleeping room for nap times or rest and an EYFS outdoor area.
As well as an NVQ level 3 in childcare and development, I have completed a homebased childcare course and have all the required certificates which include Paediatric First aid training, safeguard training, fire safety, food hygiene and EYFS training. I regularly complete online and in person courses to stay up to date with training and policies.
I use an app called 'Babys days' so you will have regular live updates throughout the day, including sleep times, nappy changes, bottle feeds and menus.
I follow the early years foundation stage curriculum which I have 16 years experience in from birth to 5 years. I love providing fun and engaging activities where children learn through play in a home from home setting, with lots of nurture and praise so they can become confident, independent and happy little people ready for starting school. I provide lots of outdoor activities- we regularly visit local groups, take trips to the farm, the library and visits to different local parks and wooded walks. We often meet with other childminders in the area too.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Availability from Jan ‘25.
£7 inclusive prices. All meals and snacks will be provided for with a weekly set menu of home cooked meals. Hourly rate outside of funded hours covers all expenses including days out and local playgroup activities, nappies and wipes. Gov funding and tax free childcare payments accepted.

Sophie is absolutely amazing the best child minder in my opinion and I couldn’t ask for better. Sophie has been my daughters child minder since she turned 12 months old and as a first time parent I felt a whole wind of emotions but from the moment I met Sophie she has been so incredible at putting me at ease. My daughter is excelling in her development, her speech is phenomenal and her confidence is growing each day and in my opinion couldn’t be anymore confident but she shows improvements in so much every single week. My daughter gets so excited every morning when we knock on Sophie’s door and that couldn’t make me feel any more happier. Every day my daughter is with Sophie, Sophie has all the activities ready including their meal plans and has a plan of action of day trips out too. How Sophie does it all amazes me every day. Hard work needs to be recognized and I’m so grateful to have the most perfect child minder in my eyes. Thank you for everything you do Sophie, we appreciate you so much in everything you do for us parents and our children. Your amazing.

A world of wonder and exploration for our 2.5-year-old daughter. Filled with creative activities, engaging day trips, and thoughtful care, Sophie creates a magical learning environment while maintaining a home away from home feel. With regular updates and open communication, we're always a part of our daughter's day. Our little one sees Sophie as an extended member of the family, always excited to see her and the other children each week. We've seen tremendous growth in our daughters confidence and social skills thanks to Sophie's nurturing approach. We trust Sophie completely and feel incredibly fortunate to have her.

We have had the pleasure of having Sophie as a full time childminder for our 2.5yr old son for 9 months. Sophie makes every day entertaining with such a variety of well thought out activities and day trips. We feel well informed on his day with our updates in person and on the app. Our son has grown in confidence and social skills whilst in Sophie’s care
We have complete trust in her abilities, she is always happy to help and we feel incredibly lucky to have found Sophie!
