About Me

Hi my name is Heather and I have been very privileged to have worked in childcare for over 30 years. I live in a bungalow in Corfe Mullen. I have a dedicated playroom and a large enclosed garden. I have a large selection of both indoor and outdoor toys and equipment.

I have always seen training and updating my knowledge as essential for providing quality care for the many children I have cared for. I have a Batchelor of Arts Degree in Early Years with an Early Years Professional Status. I work in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework to promote high quality care and learning; providing the best possible outcomes for every child in my care, working through their interests and needs. Through my vast experiences I have plenty of activities and experiences to share, which I can adapt for individual children.

I work in partnership with parents in helping children to settle in my setting as I feel it is extremely important for both parents and child/children to feel secure, safe and happy within my setting. I communicate with parents through daily discussions, diaries and learning journals.

Your child will have the opportunity to socialise in a small group as I regularly attend the local childminding play mornings and toddler groups this will enable them to build their confidence, self- esteem and communication and language. I also offer outings and trips to the park, library, shops, local farms and country parks.
