My Summary
About Me
Hello I am a professional nanny and babysitter who is looking to work from 7th June 2025 when my current contract ends. ( I have availability Monday to Thursdays 6 - 2pm and possibly all day Friday )
I am a fun, outgoing person who is passionate about working with children of all ages. I am dedicated to ensuring each child has the opportunity to reach their potential and develop their interests through play within the home environment and activities in the community. I am currently registered with three nanny agencies,Tinies, Wiltshire Nannies and Freckles, who have carried out stringent interviews and checks. I have a Paediatric First Aid qualification and have a current DBS with the update service.
My Experience
I have 3 children aged 19, 22 and 24 and have 24 years experience teaching and mentoring children with SEN / EBD / SEMH aged 6 to 18. Additionally I have been a foster carer to lots of children including those with SEN.
I have been a professional nanny for 6 years and have had the pleasure of working with several families in and around Melksham, Trowbridge, Chippenham, Corsham and Calne. I am registered as an emergency nanny for Freckles and have previously been an Ofsted registered child minding assistant for a child minder in Corsham. In these roles I have worked with babies and children aged 6 months to 13 years. I enjoy working with children and like to create learning opportunities through play, singing nursery rhymes and songs, walking in the woods and visiting National Trust properties, attending local play groups and soft play centers and baking cakes and craft / messy play. I also have experience of dropping off and picking up children of school age, planning activities and preparing lunches and keeping the play rooms tidy. Additionally I have experience of co parenting and offer baby sitting services.
I enjoy working with children and value the importance of family and would therefore relish the opportunity to support you in caring for your children and enabling them to have lots of fun, develop their interests and learn about the world around them. I am an energetic person and not only love the outdoors but have experience of being an outdoor learning practitioner where I have taught children horticulture, conservation and woodland survival skills such as building dens. I enjoy cooking and baking with children and regularly do so with my children and my nephews, the youngest being 8. In my role as a support worker in a residential home for Looked After Children I have also gained intentional and therapeutic parenting skills as well as qualifications in keeping children safe online, child accident prevention, safeguarding children, how to communicate effectively with children and emergency first aid at work including paediatric protocols. I feel that the blend of my personal and professional experience and my fun outgoing personality would be a great mix when spending time with your children.
