Hello I’m Angie, mum of two beautiful daughters! Welcome to Little Chicks Childcare and thank you for taking the time to read my profile :)

Since having my oldest daughter and deciding to become a childminder I have worked very hard to create a loving, home from home environment for your child to learn, play and develop. Going to a childminder is the perfect option for any parent wanting a more personal experience for their child whilst still receiving the same level of education and learning opportunities as they would at a nursery. I also provide wrap around, school runs, ad-hoc and term time or holiday only care as well as evening/weekend babysitting in your own home.

I became Ofsted registered in July 2019 and completed my Level 5 diploma in Early Years Management, before this I worked as a key person in a nursery for 4 years where I completed a level 3 diploma in early years education.

Care will mainly take place in our purpose build summer house at the bottom of the garden as well access to the downstairs in our home. We have a very large fenced in garden with a large climbing frame including swings, slides and a wobbly bridge. A childrens table for crafts/activities and a playhouse with a toy kitchen for role play. With such a large outdoor space we love to take full advantage of enjoying in all weathers so children will need wellies and waterproofs for those wetter days.

Our family dog which the children named Elsa, is a Pomeranian x Poodle meaning she is a little fluff ball although she does not malt. She was welcomed to the setting as a puppy so has grown up with lots of cuddles from the children meaning she is extremely friends and thrives on all the attention!! For allergy reasons Id also like to make you aware we have a cat named Jasmine and although she’s very friendly she mostly stays out of the way, having naps as cats do :)

Our local park is a 10 minute walk from our house which we regularly visit and has been risk assessed. We also take regular trips to local soft play, Staunton farm and Petersfield lake to feed the ducks.

Children new to the setting and up to age 1 years will receive daily diaries which will be send straight to your phone through Kinderly software which can be downloaded as an App to your phone, this will keep parents updated on their child’s day and routine. With permission I will also send updates/photos to parents via WhatsApp. Registration and forms for home will also be sent directly to parents through Kinderly and can be signed and returned online. I will track your child’s progress and plan activities that will encourage your child’s expected next steps. At age 2 I will complete their 2 year progress check which can be passed on to their health visitor. For any children coming up to school age I am happy to work along side your chosen school to make the transition as easy as possible for your little one.
