About Me
Hi, I am a graded outstanding
Ofsted registered childminder who has also been CRB checked. I consider myself to be a warm, caring, professional, reliable, approachable and positive person. I have been lucky enough to have worked with children since I left school and am also mum to two grown up children. I think it is important to create a natural setting as possible but to also give children exposure to a variety of experiences. As such I have a purpose built setting, including outside space, that allows me to organise different activities and cater for children's individual needs and preferences. I also like to divide time between the setting and visiting educational and recreational places. I really believe in letting children learn through play, am an advocate for inclusivity and allow children to make choices for themselves, when appropriate.
I believe that the children in my setting would describe it as a fun place to be, a home from home environment, where they are cared for and listened to and a place where they have made new friends.
My Experience
Working with children has always been a vocation for me. I have been registered as a childminder for 24 years and have loved every minute of it. During this time I have gained experience of caring for children of all ages including those with disabilities and learning difficulties.
I have also continued with my personal and professional development undertaking a variety of relevant qualifications and training courses.
I have completed a BA Honours in Early Years and I am accredited to deliver Nursery Education to 2, 3-4 years olds.

My Availability
I can offer a variety of flexible childcare arrangements, from full-time daycare to before and after school care, including pick up from nurseries and schools. I look after children from birth through to teenagers.This means that I have greater flexibility around numbers of children, ages of children and the ability to provide additional care during school holidays and emergencies.

I would and have recommended Carol as a childminder to anyone. She has looked after my two children (one of whom is disabled) for four years now and I can not praise her and her husband enough. Not only are they brilliant with the children, and treat them all like they are their own, they have also been brilliant to me. They are flexible, supportive and always willing to help out in a crisis, of which I have had many!! It is a huge step entrusting your most precious 'possessions' to people who begin as strangers but they have become friends and my children certainly view them as extended family.
