About Me
Hello, I'm Sarah at Cotton-Tail Childcare. Mother to four children I have over 15 years of experience. I have a true love and passion for childcare wooden toys and loose parts.
I am fully DBS checked with my own car and driving licence, which is clear from any convictions or driving offences.
Our week consists of;

Lots of social interaction!
These activities are heaps of fun and allow the children to play and make friends outside of my setting. We plan play-dates and outings with other childminders in the area, allowing the children to socialise on a wider scale. We are a fun-loving family who like to make the most of a day. This could be reading, painting, feeding animals, playing games, and going to the park... the list is endless
We have a separate playroom for the children to enjoy filled with open play shelves allowing the children to pick their own toys, role play kitchen for cooking up a storm, curiosity corner filled with trinkets for the children to explore without fear of breakages, play couch for building on a larger scale, tri climb for the thrill seekers, books for the book worms like me, small world for big imaginations and so much more, there's never a dull moment. I love all things wooden and open-ended and watching the children thrive in a child lead environment! The children have constant access to arts, crafts, and mark making tools. We utilize every space we have through messy play, role play, and creative thinking.
My Experience
Along with being a parent for the past 15 years I hold all relevant qualifications for home based childcare and health and social care, I have also worked in special needs schools. I am constantly bettering my knowledge with courses and webinars through the year. I began childminding in July 2018.

over the past 5 years Sarah has cared for both of my children.
Both of my children started with Sarah at the age of 10months.
my daughter went on to nursery age 3 and now my son has been going to Sarah since the end of 2022.
I honestly don't know what I would have done without Sarah!
Her house is built for children!!! both my kids love being there! my daughter age 4 now (at school) runs in kicks her shoes off and goes about her play when we are only supposed to be picking her brother up!
Other children we have met during our time with Sarah have always been so happy there too, which is so reassuring.
Sarah is so experienced. She takes them out to visit all sorts! parks, museums, walks, cafes, animal parks, forests you name it!
Sarah keeps their little brains ticking all the time through their play and is a great communicator about what they have been up to and what topics they have been looking at and also will separately acknowledge or prompt any milestones that have been met or need support with.
Sarah is always approachable for advice, tips and tricks to help navigate mum life!
She is also great at making sure you are aware of new government schemes and how to get these set up!
Sarah often goes the extra mile. We all enjoyed a Christmas party and even santa came!
I honestly could not recommend Sarah enough! my colleagues often say they wish they lived closer so they could send their kids too!
