My Experience

September 2016 – January 2017- I worked at Kings Heath Grange Day Nursery for 4 months as my first placement helping with caring and supporting the children from birth to 4 years. My main jobs included:
• Interacting/playing with the children
• Cleaning up after meal times and at the end of the day
• Setting up children’s beds for sleep time
• Helping the children to fall asleep
• Feeding the babies
• Comforting the children
January 2017 – May 2017 – My second placement was at King David Primary School. I spent most of my time in the nursery and reception. My jobs included:
• Supporting SEN children 1 to 1
• Carrying out planned activities for the teachers
• Interacting/playing with the children
• Supervising activities and dinnertimes
• Putting up display boards
• Carrying out odd jobs for the teachers e.g. laminating
• Supporting children in their Maths and Literacy lessons
September 2017 – December 2017I worked at Lilliput Day Nursery in Kings Heath with toddler and pre-school aged children (2-4). My jobs included:
• Interacting/playing with the children
• Setting up the room for meal times
• Cleaning
• Supervising children
• Carrying out activities
• Supporting children during activities

January 2018 – May 2018 - I worked at Kings Heath Primary school working in a Reception class with children aged 4-5 years old. My jobs include:
• Leading guided reading in small groups
• Supporting play
• Carrying out subject based activities with the children
• Reading stories to the class
• Supporting the class teacher
• Interacting/playing with the children
• Practicing phonics
• Assisting the supervision of SEN children
• Assisting the supervision of children on a farm visit

September 2018 - Present
I currently work at a Day Nursery where I have many responsibilities. I work primarily in the 2-3 room however have worked for 3 years prior with the preschool age and experience with babies especially after having my own daughter. Occasionally I take on Senior role responsibilities. I provide exciting and interest based activities to support learning and development.
I have experience with potty training, nappy changing needs such as Terri towels and reusable nappies, children with SEN needs and taking care of up to 8 children alone.

I have babysat for a local family who have 2 children aged 4 and 6 years old. This requires a lot of responsibility and trust. Before I babysat for the family they interviewed me and introduced me to the children who I spent time interacting with, in order for them to become familiar with me. I had to ensure that I followed the directions given to me.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

I am very flexible with fees.
