About Me
My name is Amy; I am an OFSTED Registered Childminder, I have been awarded Early Years Professional Status. I am fully insured through Pacey of which I am also a member. I am located in Great Haywood, just on the outskirts of Stafford and Rugeley,
I am married to William and we have 2 gorgeous little boys aged 13 years and 9 years and 2 beautiful little girls aged 7 years and very nearly 5 years.
We are lucky to be surrounded by a vast range of places to see and visit. I am a Member of the Shugborough Estate and the National Trust and I make the most of my membership of these attractions with the children in my care.
We are close to Amerton Farm, which is great for children young and old! There are a variety of play parks nearby which we try and visit on a weekly basis!. We are also close to Birches Valley, and Cannock chase.
I have a full driving license and an 8 seater car, therefore I can pick up and collect from schools within the village (please enquire).
We attend mums and tots groups and childminder drop in sessions to give children opportunities to socialise with other children within the community.
I offer a range of arts and crafts activities; painting, clay modelling,aqua beads, play doh, collage making, water art, paper mache.
We also enjoy baking and decorating biscuits and cakes, making our own pizzas and creating fun and exciting meals. We have small world play, loads of messy play activities and a wide range of indoor resources for different ages.
We have a secure garden that we try and use every day in which we have sand and water tables and ride on toys. We use the local parks for bigger and more adventurous climbing.
Above all I aim to ensure that each and every child in my care is valued as an individual and has the opportunity to learn play and develop at a pace that is right for them in a fun and vibrant setting which provides endless learning opportunities through play. I provide a loving, inclusive, safe and supportive family orientated environment, where each child is happy to explore their surroundings and the activities that are provided.
My Experience
I am a mother to 2 gorgeous boys and 2 beautiful little girls.
I have twelve years experience as a registered childminder and I have worked with children and young people in a variety of capacities over the years, including as a Play Scheme Development worker, Young Carers Outreach Worker, Youth Development Worker, and as a Teacher of Further Education.

My Availability
My operating hours are Monday – Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm (I may be able to accommodate children outside of these times – I aim to be as flexible as possible please call me to discuss your needs outside of these hours).
I currently have a full time vacancy available for a baby/pre-school child, I will also have a full time vacancy from September 2023. I have spaces for before and after school, term time only and school holidays for school aged children.

My son has been with Amy for over a term now and he really enjoys his time there. Amy is super at communicating with pictures and keeping me informed at the different activities he is partaking in. He plays with a range of toys within the setting and really enjoys the outside area with an amazing variety of outside activities and toys for the children to play with and without being in a led activity. He always enjoys lunch which is always a varied and healthy meal.
Returning to work is a hard time for many of us mums but I have felt very comfortable knowing he is having a great time and is happy and settled.
