About Me

Hi, I am Cheryl and I currently work as a part time play and learn educational nanny, baby massage instructor and play and learn teacher. I am studying Italian and I am also studying CELTA, due to qualify in September. I am really enthusiastic about helping children to develop their early years skills by nurturing them through their educational process and experiences in day to day life. I take the approach that every child is unique and I will adapt to the child’s individual needs and interests.
I have worked in childcare for over 18 years now in various different settings. Starting as a nursery nurse for many years and then moving on to be a nanny for many families usually staying with them until the child goes to school and often staying on to do wrap around care alongside other jobs. I teach baby massage weekly but I’m willing to put that aside for the right job. I also help out at a play and learn centre where we sing to engage children in activities and also teach parents scientific benefits for each activity that we do.
I consider myself to be extremely adaptable to each and every circumstance I am in. I am punctual and have a positive outlook and I take a very holistic approach in making sure that not only am I nurturing a child’s well-being but also making sure that the parents are supported and feel comfortable that I am doing my job to the highest standard and the best of my ability.
As part of my day to day role, I can provide a daily personal diary for your little one which will include all of the activities written from your child’s perspective - observations, sleep times, food/times and any additional information you may need to know about the day. I am also happy to share photos & messages with parents, throughout the day, and create monthly developmental reports following eyfs guidelines.

I am also happy to provide housekeeping and cooking.
