My Summary
About Me
I am an Ofsted registered nanny who is efficient and a self-motivated individual, who enjoys her role and is always willing to listen, learn and help. I feel that my personal qualities of determination and willingness to continue with professional development, caring nature and enthusiasm to always produce a high standard of work to the best of my ability, have facilitated my progress to date. Alongside the personal transport I have, I also attain a clean driving licence complete with 10 years No Claims Bonus. Relocating to London in 2009 was a positive career move which offered the challenge and responsibility of being independent and the opportunity to experience something I had always wanted to do and also to support my partner of 13 years who has studied a degree. Having gained lots of valuable experience we decided to move back to our home town in the West Midlands. My aim in a professional capacity is to always further develop my knowledge and gain experience in my field. I am competent and confident in my skills and my gentle nature and experience so far are an asset to any family or establishment.
My Experience
My role as a nanny has given me the opportunity to work with multiple families in London and in the West Midlands. Previous experience from a nursery setting has enabled me to utilise my knowledge of the EYFS framework, to encourage learning and development through play and aid in forming bonds with children. I have cared for all ages of children from 6 months old to 11 years both boys and girls and have done this on a sole-charge basis. I have gained experience of caring for a child with diabetes, this meant I had to monitor blood sugar levels and take care of weighing foods to calculate the required amount of insulin after meal times. I also take children to and from school, on daytrips/outings during school holidays, prepare meals for children with special dietary needs, nappy changing, preparing bottles, and entertaining with stimulating games aiding the learning process, during sleep time I would engage in tidying children’s rooms and doing washing for the children. Also, I make sure that all children complete homework and are bathed and ready for bed upon return of the parents.
Since becoming a sole charge nanny, my experiences have varied and they include time management for the children i.e. all aspects involved with preparation for school and transportation to and from the facilities. Planning and executing appropriate daytime activities for younger age group, food and routine for the children. Always willing to do light house duties such as general tidiness, washing, ironing and anything that may need doing whilst there’s free time. In my roles i have gained valuable experience as a full and part time nanny. With organisation, time keeping and making sure children are not only safe, but happy in their environment.

Private nannying - Harborne- April 2021 to present.
I am currently looking after a lovely 18 month old girl on a daily basis. Taking her for lovely walks exploring in the outdoors whatever the weather wrapped up warm. We have lots of fun painting, making jelly, foam and cream for our large floor tray to play in. Reading lots of stories and generally just having a fun time whilst learning new things along the way. I do her meals and she has a lovely set nap time which we work around her daily needs.
Private nannying - Harborne - Sep 2019 to August 2020.
Here I became part of a lovely family working on an after school care basis caring for 3 school age children. Boy/girl twins in year one and a boy in reception. My role involved collecting children from school and taking them home for a light snack/drink before heading out to after school activities set by the parents. This includes various activities such as swimming, gymnastics and french lessons. I am responsible for making sure the children are happy and safe at all times and making sure they are encouraged and supported through them. Preparing a healthy meal for the children when returning home and making sure the children are dressed into the bed clothes ready for parents return home. Any reading/homework I do my best to help and support children with that and help with their learning and any questions they may have regarding their work. Here I feel part of a lovely family and have gained twin experience which will always help in the future if I come across again.
Private nannying - Stourbridge - April 18 - July 19
Here I had a before and after school nanny role, where I looked after 2 children from two different families, with a 4 year old girl and boy. I looked after the children predominantly at the same house who was my main employer. Here I carried out both before and after school collections and making sure children had sufficient meals such as breakfast and dinner whilst in my care. Again after school activities such as rainbows and cricket were carried out before returning home to meet mum on arrival.
Private Nanny - Hagley - Feb 13 - April 16
Here I became part of a lovely family where I had a very close bond with, after being there a long time. I cared for a boy aged 6 when I started and a girl age 3. I had an opportunity to become part of the children maturing and becoming responsible. I gained valuable experience. Helping them along the way with gradual step ups through their school years. I was a part of that being their nanny for a long period of time. After collection from school I was able to be a part of their after school activities such as tennis, swimming, rainbows and cubs. It was fascinating to be a part of the children not being able to swim, to being super swimmers by the time I was leaving. School holidays I was able to take the children to outdoor activities such as local parks and nature reserves etc.
Private Nanny - London - Sep 2011- December 2012.
This nanny position was where I gained experience in working for a Jewish family. I looked after 2 school age girls age 5 and 7 and a 6 month old baby girl. So my main duties along side school drop offs and collections, was caring for the baby.
I spend the day following and working along side the mothers routine and adding in my own play/activities to suit. Around nap times and several feeding times, which included bottle and finger foods, I spend as much time as possible engaging in fun appropriate activity. This include colouring, gluing sticking and painting, playdough and as much outdoor play as I could. This role was a challenge to me as one of the girls had diabetes so it was my responsibility to make sure she had regular blood sugar checks and giving her the insulin she required. This gave me so much confidence going forward as I was able to use my knowledge in the future as I had never done anything like that before. I was lucky to be a part of a different way of life with the family being Jewish. I was part of the different celebrations that were completely new to me at the time. I left this position with so much knowledge and understanding of how other people live. It was a huge asset to be apart of.
My first nanny role - 2009 - 2011 - London
This was my first nanny position looking after 3 children a boy age 2 and 2 girls age 5 and 9 years. My early morning start meant I was there when the children woke in the mornings. I helped them get ready for school and prepared their breakfast and school lunches. During the day time whilst the older children was at school my main role was preparing and carrying out as many fun activities as I could. I was able to use my experience from the nurseries to help with development through art and play. After school collections I would prepare dinner and help children with their home work whilst having set up a small activity for the younger child next to us so he was also able to play and engage in his own thing. I could then turn my attention to the girls and help with their homework but still be near the little boy if anything was needed. I would bath the children and read to them just before mum would return home. Here I gained experience in looking after children on a sole charge basis.
Little Bo Peep ltd: 2007– 2009
In my previous role, as the toddler room supervisor (ages 2-3), I was responsible for the planning and execution of activities for both the children and other members of staff. I have followed the EYFS Framework whilst observing children’s needs. I also had to teach the children and participate in organised activities. I also discussed with other members of staff, the involvement of children’s individual needs and the development of a positive rapport with the parents. I also followed day-to-day routine such as nappy changing and encouragement of toilet training. From this I learnt a great deal of valuable skills. My leadership and interpersonal skills grew, I also attained NVQ level 3 in this role.
Sneakers Childcare: 2006 – 2007
My role as a nursery assistant (6 months-11 years) included maintaining a healthy and safe environment for children to explore. Assisting in the preparation of food, serving healthy snacks and meals, nappy duties and helping children with toilet training. Organising, storing toys and materials for activity time to encourage play and learning. Activities included encouragement of children’s creative and imaginative skills, teaching them different songs to sing and reading stories as a group. I also worked in the after school club which included collecting the children, preparing afterschool snack and outside play activities. My experience gave me the confidence and ability to become a room leader.
Rosie’s Play Care : 2005 – 2006
As a trainee I shadowed qualified practitioners working with children aged from 3 months to 11 years, I assisted with activities set out by the supervisors of the baby room, toddler room and the pre school room, such as reading, painting, singing and outside play. During the afternoons I collected the 7 to 11 year olds from school and worked in the afterschool club where I helped prepare snacks and activities. In this role I gained the experience and the knowledge to train towards an NVQ level 2 in early years and eventually become a fully qualified practitioner myself.
