About Me
Hiya, I'm Lauryn. I am a kind and caring person who loves working with children and have been on and off for the past 5/6 years. I have had experience working with babies, toddlers and primary school children; as well as working on the NCS programme with 15-17 year olds during the summer seasons of university. I hold a bachelors degree in Special educational Needs and inclusion studies from Canterbury Christ Church University. Since university, I have worked at a special needs college for a year and am currently working at PGL on the Isle of Wight until mid November. Once I’m back I will be looking for a part time/full time/temporary nanny/babysitting job until March. If this suits you please send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. My Experience
Most recently I have worked at an outdoor activity centre (PGL) as an activity instructor leading activities such as orienteering, problem solving, survival skills, archery etc to groups of 15 children aged between 8 and 16. I have a degree in SEN and have worked in a special needs college for a year supporting children with autism in relation to education and helping to achieve their full potential in regards to everyday life skills, swimming and other physical development, art and food tech. At college, I received a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and Development. During that time, I worked at 3 placements which included working with babies, in a nursery and primary school so I have experience working with a range of children. As well as this, I have done babysitting for family friends on numerous occasions.
