My Experience

2021-2022- Working currently as a SEN Classroom Assistant in a local nursery school. Monday-Friday 8:45-1:30.

2021- The Mulberry bush nursery.
Worked in stepping stones room (2-3 year olds) as the supervisor, covering a maternity post.


Busy Kids Day care (February 2018-2020) whereby I was responsible for the care and wellbeing of the children as well as administrative work and cleaning duties. I have previously been room leader in the 2-3 room in Busy Kids and had 2-3 co-workers along side of me; The title of Room Leader has given me the chance to lead and teach by example whilst also greatly enjoying the job role and being able to help positively influence the children’s lives. I was then given the opportunity to work with children from the ages of 6 to 11 years old during our summer scheme and therefore accepted this challenge to broaden my experiences with various age groups. It is also essential for me to work as part of a team in my current job role. Positive relationships with co-workers ensure for a positive influence on behaviour with the children. I was also responsible for building and maintaining good relationships, trust and respect with the parents through handovers at the beginning of the day and also the end. I really enjoy working with the public and I am confident enough to do so both in a friendly and professional manner.

Other areas that are focused on within my job roles are:

• Ensuring all needs of children are met, providing refreshments while encouraging healthy eating and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Following health and safety and safeguarding protocols as and when required and ensure anyone working with me follow them also.
• Providing engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation framework to help children develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
• Sing, dance, read and participate in play with children.
