My Summary
About Me
My name is Emma and I live with my husband and two young children. I have been childminding since 2012, I started off working from my Mum's double garage providing childcare for 9 children a day. This is where Little Bluebells was founded, my Mum made the decision to retire in August 2022 and I have taken the business since.
I live in a detached house in Loughton Essex with a beautiful log cabin/summer house at the end of my garden with its own private garden, with artificial grass and a white picket fence. specifically designed for the children of Little Bluebells. I work alongside my good friend Colette who is also a registered childminder and two other lovely ladies, Sarah and Mary who are our assistants. We have all worked together for several years now and together we are a perfect team.
We are offering a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment with emphasis on learning through play. I find caring for children very rewarding and offer all children in my care encouragement, love and kindness, I find this helps children to be happy and confident in my setting. We hope to make your child feel this is like home from home. We always get as much information from you about your child so we can keep to the same routine they are used to at home. Each child has their own private room to sleep in with a luxury travel cot, fresh bedding and baby monitor.
We have a huge variety of toys and activities for different ages for inside and outside the house. In the garden we have many little Tikes toys including a slide, seesaw and cars.
Our aim is to settle your child in as quickly as possible so we offer a settling in period before starting.
Each child is given a Daily Diary which your child will bring home every day, we fill this out during the day so you know exactly what your child has eaten, nappy changes, sleep and play.
We also ask for your child's starting points so we find out as much about your child as possible before they start.
Although play is an essential part to our day, we work to ensure that the children are learning something new every day. We have different theme we focus on each month, and help children discover their potential through exploitative play. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, and help your child enjoy and thrive throughout each stage of their learning journey.
Outdoor play is also an important part of our day. The children are encouraged to play outside daily, we have many outdoor activities. We also take the children for walk's when we have quieter days, visiting the local library, park, forest and shop's. In the summer month's we have a huge gazebo in the garden and spend most of our days outside.
We accept all Childcare vouchers.
