Hi, I'm Ruth..
I'm an Ofsted registered "Good" Childminder with an NVQ Level 3 in childcare.
I offer 2, 3 and 4 year old government funded places and I have over 25 years of knowledge and experience of working with children in a variety of different settings.
I'm a single mum to 3 lovely girls, 22 and 15 year old twins.
Our house has a very family orientated feel and is a real home from home.
I have a well equipped enclosed garden which we use all year round, a dining area which is used for messy play and craft activities as well as eating and my lounge where the children can freely access the many boxes of toys available to them.
We regularly go on outings to explore the outdoors but I also enjoy thinking up exciting activities to suit all ages to ensure I'm meeting all the EYFS requirements for each individual child. The children's journeys with me are logged in their own journals and are available to parents to look through at any time, photographs are also sent throughout the day so you get to see how much fun your little one is having.
My Experience
I qualified from college at the age of 18 with an NNEB diploma (equivalent to a level 3 in childcare.)
I started my career temping as an agency Nanny and was lucky enough to travel all around London "living in" with some wonderful families.
When I felt it was time to come home, I secured a job in a private day nursery, where I worked my way up over 4 years to a supervisor role and I stayed until I left to have my first daughter.
I returned to work, after my maternity leave, as part of a team in a creche in a leisure centre where I covered the managers maternity leave for a year and it was there that I was approached by a family who needed a full time Nanny, and I accepted the position.
I worked with them for almost 4 years, until they moved away from the area and it was then I decided to become a childminder and have been for 17 years.
I have 26 years experience of caring for children in a variety of settings and am just as passionate now as I was at the age of 16 when my childcare journey began.
My Qualifications
I qualified from college at the age of 18 with an NNEB diploma which is equivalent to a CACHE level 3 in childcare.
I am also paediatric first aid trained and have completed many courses throughout the years in all different areas covering childcare to keep myself fully updated with any changes.
My Availability
I am currently working with 10 families over different days and currently have no availability for care.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge £5 an hour.
