About Me
I'm a highly experienced educator specialised in supporting SEN and EAL students with a variety of learning needs. Currently employed in a local secondary educational establishment, I have been in this field for 10 years, mostly supporting Ks3/4 across the curriculum.
Whether it is with their selected vocational courses such as Media Studies, Business Enterprise or Health & Social to supporting core subjects such as Maths, English and Science through their GCSEs. Helping to support their learning needs, building confidence and raising self esteem. Enabling them to have the confidence and ability to leave school with their GCSEs, whilst developing transferable skills.
I am available to support your child’s homework, revision skills, proof reading skills reading skills, Maths & English evenings and weekends.
My Experience
10 years experience supporting SEN/EAL pupils in secondary education within local schools in Walsall, West Brom and Wolverhampton.
Providing 1:1 support with literacy and maths, Precision Teaching and running Pragmatic sessions to support and enable pupils with their social skills, helping them to learn how to communicate effectively. Preparing differenciated learning material to support pupils knowledge and understanding. Providing revision techniques, teaching pupils how to annotate, identify key information and use this to create revision cards.
I am DBS checked and also complete my Safeguarding, Prevent and Anti-bullying training yearly as part of the requirements for employment within a school. I am ASD trained, qualified to work with children with social and emotional needs, speech and language as well as cognitive development needs.
