About Me

Hi, I am the director of The Learning Academy tutoring in Ashford. I'm a qualified experienced classroom teacher who has an honours degree in Chemistry and a postgraduate teaching qualification in secondary Science education. I have been a senior teacher in education as well as a subject leader since 1994 therefore very experienced in the classroom at delivering the National Curriculum at both primary and secondary level.

We were the first tutoring centre in Ashford established in 2002. The Learning Academy has supported numerous students to secure places in grammar schools (including super selective grammar schools), independent school scholarships, as well as achieve excellent results in GCSE and A Level exams. All our tutors are outstanding qualified teachers who have experience of teaching in the classroom they are not teaching assistants, sixth form students, university students or unqualified staff neither do we use computers to do the teaching for us. We believe that an experienced qualified teacher will get the best out of your child as they have experience in lesson planning, subject and curriculum knowledge as well as being able to adapt the tutoring to your child’s learning style. All of our teachers are specialists in their subject area and have a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
