About Me
I am a widow & have four daughters aged between 23-31All have now left home. I also have a wonderful grandson aged 11& a beautiful cocker poo aged 8 name Freddie. I have been a Registered childminder for 30years. I am a Christian & have held roles in church including safeguarding, toddler group, youth groups, baptism steward, study group leader & pastoral leader. My hobbies include gardening, reading, theatre, music, dining out & sunny holidays.
My Experience
I have been a Registered childminder for 30years, my last Ofsted inspection was graded Good in 2022. I have, in that time, done emergency foster care, & also cared for a number of children with autism, aspergers, cleft palate, asthma, special education needs & children with English as a second language. I keep up to date with all training & qualifications required.
Where I live we are surrounded by parks & woodland. I live within walking distance of toddler groups, leisure centre/swimming & library. We travel on the bus & train to visit museums, soft play centres library, parks & the cinema. I believe from the youngest to the oldest, children learn best by encouraging education & social skills by having fun, safely & happily.
My Qualifications
level 2 childcare, Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding & Food Hygiene, I also maintain all training required by Ofsted. Adhering to the EYFS.
My Availability
I work from 7.00am to 5.30 Monday to Friday. (I am flexible outside of these hours). I do have a waiting list system.
I am also available for Babysitting duties, but not at the weekend at present.
