About Me
Hi, I am Marisa and I am an early years educator, or childminder located in the Corner Hall area of Hemel Hempstead. We have a lovely back garden as well as a large living room perfect for play for little ones from 6 months to the start of school at the age of 4. Our setting is loose parts based and Montessori (independent and child led play) inspired, with lots of outside activities happening in all weathers and lots of art, craft and cooking activities too. We also enjoy a spot of yoga too.
My Experience
I have worked with children ever since leaving school at the age of 18. I have worked in numerous settings and was a childminder previously when my oldest daughter, who is now almost 17, was a baby between 2008 and 2011. I have also had experience in a Montessori setting, a forest school setting and as one on one at a local school. I have been a childminder since April 2019 had an inspection (Oct 2023) which was rated Good. I took a break in December 2023 to now due to continuing professional development in settings outside of the home.
My Qualifications
First aid qualified,
Food hygiene
Safeguarding Lead
NVQ3 in childcare,
BSc in psychological sciences.
Senco Level 3
Currently training in forest school and outdoor learning.
Professional Development Training is continuous
My Availability
I have availability now - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Friday. Hours are 8am - 5:30pm

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
Fees are £9 an hour including snacks, milk and water.
Any formula, nappies, wipes, etc should be provided by parents.
Hot lunches are provided at a charge of £1 per meal.
Funding is available - please ask for further details.

My daughter has been with Marisa since August this year, this lady is seriously amazing, I have noticed a real improvement with my daughter. Marisa has such a real and genuine passion for children and their development. The daily development diary that Marisa records in is lovely, I am always sent daily photographs of my daughter, and given feedback of my daughters development. If I have any worries/concerns Marisa has always offered advice. It’s reassuring to know that when I go
to work my daughter is safe and well cared for.
