About Me
I have worked in several primary schools for over 30 years and taught Nursery to lower Key Stage 2. I am a registered member of a school supply teaching group. I have held the position of Senco and have varied special needs experience particularly in relation to ADHD, Speech and Language needs and Dyslexia . I am part of an independent therapy team where I hold the position of educational consultant.I support children who need to access alternative provision outside of the school setting. I have Elklan Speech and Language training and certification. I have undergone Safe Guarding training and have an enhanced DBS.I was closely involved with toddler groups and pre schools when my own 3 children were young.I have a keen interest in the Early Years and have kept up to date with regular CPD training. I am an avid follower of Early Years research within the 0 to 7 age range which enhances my specialism in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. I can provide tuition to support phonics and help your child to pass the Year1 Phonics Screening. I can support reading, writing and spelling.
I love music and enjoy singing.I am a member of a small harmonise choir. I enjoy swimming and walking on the beach and in the countryside with our fox red labrador. I am an animal lover.
