About Me
I am a student at Durham University undertaking my PGCE Primary Teacher training. I am available around my studies/placement. I will use the skills I am developing during my studies to ensure the childcare I provide will be a high standard.
My Experience
I am gaining experience as a primary school teacher currently, and am halfway through my postgraduate degree in this field. During my undergraduate degree, I completed a Year Abroad teaching English in a Primary School in Spain.
I also have experience of working with children in non-educational settings. Over previous summer holidays, I managed a childcare day camp responsible for up to 40 children. This has helped me with organising activities that are stimulating, engaging, challenging and of course enjoyable for the children.
I have also worked privately offering babysitting/childcare services for families so have experience on a much smaller scale too. I worked for LocalAid for a brief period of time supporting older children (11-18) who have complex behavioural needs and disabilities.
My Qualifications
I have Paediatric First Aid Training, have completed multiple Safeguarding Courses, obtained a Prevent Duty, and have recently completed a course in Understanding Autism. I am also TeamTeach Level One trained.
I have a Bachelor's Degree (2:1) in Modern Languages (Spanish) from Swansea University and started my PGCE September 2024.
I studied Sociology, English Literature and Spanish at A Level.
