About Me
My name is Diana and I’m a devoted, caring reliable nanny with 14 years experience in childcare (six of them as an early years teacher in Portugal and eight of them here, in the UK as a nanny). I'm absolutely passionate about children. There’s something about the little ones that makes me want to be a better “grown up”! I am highly responsible, methodical and organised in daily routines, giving children a high sense of structure and consistency. I am strict when I need to be strict, but I'm also very kind, playful, sweet and caring, both as a teacher and as a nanny. This level of consistency provides children with clear rules and guidelines that promote positive behaviour patterns, respect and self-control. Therefore, I'm extremely motivated to help children becoming happier and providing them the best educational activities that promote their adequate development and prepares them for the challenges ahead. With a university degree in Early Childhood Education and years of experience working in schools and family houses, I always seek to stimulate children’s skills and habilities, regarding their cognitive, social and physical development.
My Experience
I have work experience in my professional area, for instance, I worked as a teacher during the Active Holidays in the 2008’s edition that took place from June 30th to August 29th in the City Hall of Maia under the supervision of its Sports Department. In addition, I have worked in a kindergarten in Maia as a substitute teacher for five months. After that, I did voluntary work in a nursery school in Rio Tinto from November 2011 to January 2012. Furthermore, from January 2012 to April 2015 I taught Music in several state primary schools under the supervision of the Department of Education of the City Hall of Maia.
In 2015 I arrived at London and I started working as a nanny and I still do.

I have a University Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Diana took very good care of our son Hugo who was about 9 months old when we first met her in November 2019. She stayed with us six months until she went on maternity leave and built a strong bond with our son, who loved spending time with her, from day one. She was with us every weekday, picking Hugo up from the nursery early afternoons and stayed with him until we got home, finding suitable activities in the area, preparing him meals, giving him a bath and putting him to bed if need be.
We kept constant communication during the day, which was very much appreciated. She gave updates regularly on Hugo’s activities and feeding and sent photos and videos which was lovely and reassuring for a parent.
She is kind, caring and reliable and we would love to work with her again.
