About Me

I have a BA Honours degree in child education (level 6 childcare), with experience and knowledge in a wide range of special educational needs. I have grown up in a childminding setting (mother is a Frome Ofsted registered child-minder). Meaning that I know other childminders and children for playdates and outdoor fun! I have a passion for working with children, and have been on many different placements in schools in Frome, hospices, nurseries and childminding settings. I have had experience in looking after a child with cancer, therefore enabling me to develop skills to care for children who are unwell (unfortunately it happens). I am flexible, fun, adventurous and have ability to make close and trusting relationships with parents and children. I have a DBS, as well as up to date first aid (as I hold a lifeguard qualification). I have worked in care and as a lifeguard at Frome. I have experience with a range of ages. I am a reliable, fun, sensitive to children emotions, as well have an interest in helping then learn in a fun environment. I like to take children out during the day, to places like Longleat, out for walks, soft play ect. I also am more than happy to help out for holiday cover as well as babysitting in the evenings and on weekends. I hold a valid DBS and first aid.
