My Requirements

Someone with initiative and a can-do attitude is very important, a household helper who is also happy to have some light childcare responsibilities and undertake school runs. We do have a cleaner once a week but need help with general daily cleaning and tidying, cooking, washing clothes, ironing, dishwasher loading / unloading, making / changing children’s beds, hoovering, organising, running any errands etc. not every day will include all of this. There will be some walking within the role as my son’s school is a 20minute walk / short bus ride and my daughter’s nursery is a further 20min walk / short bus ride.

My daughter is at nursery (8:30-11:30am) and my son attends school 8:10am - 3:15. My daughter has a language delay and is currently using makaton as well as some verbal approximations. We would love to work with someone on a long term ongoing basis.

Having understanding of makaton or be willing to learn some is a bonus but not essential, the important thing is to comment on things and try to engage my daughter in conversation.

We have some flexibility in timings and days, you don’t need to be available 5 days a week, or for the entire day. Ideally 1, 2 or 3 days from 7:30am - 12:15 would be ideal. There is scope for earlier starts and later finishes on some days if this is of interest. Ideally will suit someone who would like part-time additional work in their schedule or maybe studying at the same time.
