About Me
I pride myself on being a caring, patient, flexible and reliable individual. I am known for a personal and hands-on approach no matter how tough the task in hand. Childcare expertise and exemplary work ethic are at the core of my activities and this is reflected in the outstanding feedback I have constantly received from families throughout my career. I possess extensive experience caring for newborns, toddlers, school age children and children additional needs and complex needs. I simply love working with children and the joy they bring into life. I feel that my role is more than just work or childcare as I genuinely love to help families whatever the situation. I come from a large family myself and love to spend time with my younger siblings outside of work. My hobbies include reading, cooking, shopping (dangerous I know) and travelling when possible.
My Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher with over 9 years experience of working with children. My previous roles have included working in an Early Years setting for 5 years working with newborn babies to children up to the age of 11, supporting/teaching children with complex needs in a mainstream education setting and home educating a child with additional needs with nannying duties both in the UK and overseas.
I also have experience of babysitting children in their home on a casual basis. Hours have been varied but I have mainly worked evenings/overnights as a babysitter. A high proportion has been to cover emergency childcare. I am therefore experienced in making children feel both at ease and comfortable despite not knowing me beforehand. I have and can offer additional services to parents should they be required including general housework and ironing (once the child is asleep).
I’m also experienced in babysitting with fostering agencies and have undertook the additional training to be registered with fostering agencies should any parents/carers require this.
References can be obtained upon request. I am also trained in paediatric first aid and have a full clean UK driving licence. I am on the DBS update service and will provide you with the details to access my DBS.

Olivia has been babysitting for me for 2/3 years now and I absolutely can’t fault her. The kids love her, I love her, she comes over at very little notice, is happy to take the kids to the park and I couldn’t recommend her more highly!
