My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Amy and I am a qualified teacher and early years practitioner with over 8 years experience across a range of roles. Families and children I work with often describe me as smiley, reliable and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure the best for the little ones in my care.
I have experience working with children ages from 4 months - 18 years including a depth of SEN experience. I have worked in a variety of settings and environments and love finding new and exciting places to take play and learning. I have supported families as a nanny, tutor, mother’s help, nursery manager and SENCo and am also a qualified primary school teacher. I currently work as a manager for a local charity supporting disabled children and young people however am looking for a role that will give me more time with the children.
Please feel free to message with any questions or anything you would like to know! I look forward to hearing from you.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 8 years with children aged from 4 months - 18 years. I am a qualified Level 3 Practitioner as well as a Qualified Primary School Teacher with a specialism in additional needs and outdoor learning.
I have worked across a range of settings and enjoy supporting children to play and learn in different environments which I researched as part of my Dissertation.
Having worked in a range of a settings in positions such as Nursery Nurse, 1:1, Manager and SENCO as well as being self-employed as a nanny, mother’s help and tutor I am very adaptable and always strive to offer care that is individualised for the children as well as the whole family. Over the past 3 years I have worked with disabled children and young people and therefore hold specialist training to ensure that not only do I offer the level of care the child deserves but also to reassure families their child is in the best care.
Throughout my various roles, I have supported children and their families in a variety of ways including sleep training; weaning; building fine and gross motor skills and developing children's emotional development in order to support behavior and create close relationships with the children and families I work with. Throughout this, it has deepened my understanding and passion for ensuring every child has the care and support to achieve their full potential and to be cared for someone who is committed to building a strong and nurturing relationship.

Amy babysat for our daughter. She was friendly, punctual and looked after her really well. She helped with reading from school and our daughter has already ask when we can go out so Amy can come back!
