My Summary
Childminder In Merton Park
About Me
I am an OFSTED registered professional childminder with 22 years of experience in providing childcare services. I am based in the centre of Merton Park, and I accept childcare vouchers and offer funding places for children of ages 9 months to 4 years old. I have a great enthusiasm and commitment to meeting the individual needs and best interests of the children in my care.
I offer a warm, caring, safe and secure environment in my home, comprising several rooms including a purpose-built playroom and large garden, equipped with wide variety of indoor and outdoor educational and fun toys. I am located within a short walk of both Merton Park Primary and Poplar Primary schools and several local parks, including one directly opposite.
I encourage, support and facilitate children of all ages to participate in and enjoy a wide range of well-planned social, creative, educational and entertaining activities, including arts and crafts, singing and music, cooking, role play, dressing up in costumes, and reading. With parents’ prior approval, I also take children on supervised outings to parks, activity centres, soft-play, library groups, farms, and many other appropriate places of interest.
I focus on each child’s individual needs and development, and I record their daily routine and email it to their parents at the end of each day. I also keep fully up to date with all current childminding qualifications and best practices.
I am a qualified social worker and a mother of two grown up children who are now both studying for their doctorate degrees in biochemistry at Cambridge and Bath University.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Winnie started looking after my daughter when she was just 10 months old, having been highly recommended by other parents in Merton Park, Margot is now nearly four and considers Winnie and Julie as family. I have always felt enormously comforted by her willingness and excitement to go each day, which is testament to Winnie’s ability to make their experience and learning different on a daily basis.
They enjoy a huge variety of activities, from painting to crafts, baking and trips outdoors. I have been so impressed with Margot’s ability to sit and listen to stories, count, hold her pencil and to recognise colours and shapes, which is all down to the hard work of the team at Winnie’s.
Above all else the environment that she creates is safe, friendly, fun and always caring. Having experienced a troubling episode with my son’s nursery I really appreciate the continuity of care and the knowledge that Margot’s well being is at the heart of Winnie’s interests.
I couldn’t recommend Winnie more highly. Her setting is wonderful and all of the children adore her - as do the parents.
She has also been absolutely fantastic throughout the pandemic.
My son now attends Winnie’s after school and he absolutely adores his afternoons. They are always fun packed and more like a play-date than conventional wraparound care. It is wonderful to see the different age groups interact with each other in such a caring and respectful way.
I moved my daughter to Winnie’s setting after a period of unsettling change at her old nursery. Within a week of being in her care, the change in my daughter back to her usual happy self was incredible. Winnie is highly professional, has a great support team, does a variety of activities with the children, wonderful arts and crafts, gives them lots of time outdoors in her lovely garden and is always thinking of fun, new things to do with them. Pre covid this included some lovely trips out too. My daughter loves being in her safe, happy setting. I am so grateful to have found her and can’t recommend her highly enough.
