My Experience

I have many years experience as a sole charge and shared care nanny for a high net worth and private families, a celebrity and I have also provided childcare for the local authority for a child in need. Responsibilities included implementing structured routines, organising fun, safe, age appropriate outings, being creative and producing materials for engaging activities, coordinating with tutors and providing support and encouragement during learning experiences.

I have professional part time job as trainee Clinical Psychologist. The advantage of this is, I have a wealth of transferable and invaluable skills that I bring to the role. I have a concrete understanding of the beneficial effects of praise and positive reinforcement on behaviour. Other transferable skills include, creativity, the ability to adapt my approach and using initiative whilst working autonomously.

My special needs experience comes from working in a learning disabilities service, working in education as a learning support assistant (supporting students with learning disabilities, ASD, behavioral and emotional difficulties1:1 inside and outside of the classroom) and being a nanny to children with additional needs (non-verbal, ASD, life threatening medical condition).
