About Me
I am a motivated and enthusiastic primary school teacher with an outgoing nature. Known for being hard working and dedicated towards any role I carry, I feel I am someone who strives to do all that they can to the best of their ability. Something fundamental to myself in any work environment is to maintain a helpful, positive disposition, whatever the situation. I am efficient and proactive with confident interpersonal and communication skills. My ambitious and approachable manner allows me to produce results of the highest standards and any role undertaken is done so with consistency and enthusiasm. This I feel is demonstrated in the many different work environments I have found myself working in.
My Experience
Working in a Primary school has enabled me to be part of an exciting school community where I gained solid knowledge and understanding of children and learning. I have worked closely with children with special educational needs as well as children with English as a second language. This gave me a great insight into how certain factors inhibit children’s learning and the strategies that education practitioners use to overcome this. I have learnt skills on lesson planning, activity differentiation and behavioural management strategies, supporting staff, external education professionals and crucially, from the children themselves. I have a solid knowledge of the Curriculum across the different year groups. I have come to understand that in order to achieve the best possible outcomes; learning needs to be broad, dynamic and inclusive. My role has given me certainty that a career path in teaching matches all of my interests and abilities and the job gives me satisfaction on a both professional and personal level. I enjoy taking on challenges that enrich my professional life and development.
Working in a primary school also means that I have been working successfully to meet each of the teachers’ standards through teaching alongside experienced teachers. I work well as part of a team and different professionals have supported my development by giving me continued guidance, feedback and direction. I have come to understand the importance of being reflective in my practice in order to improve my teaching. I am familiar with the main school policies such as the SEN policy; statutory requirements such as Safeguarding or current topics such as the use of Pupil Premium Fund to close the gaps in progress and attainment between different groups of children.
