About Me

I am an experienced childcare practitioner and have 4 children of my own. I love nature, books, fresh air and decafe coffee. I am an advocate for 'in the moment' learning. Every opportunity to expand children's knowledge and develop their language skills is worth taking. Facilitating emergent language and literacy skills is a key aspect of my practice. I have a first class degree in Childhood Studies, specialising in Early Years, Youth work and also SEND. I practice therapeutic parenting and gentle and respectful parenting techniques. Partnering with parents, to create a supportive environment for each unique child, is foundational to my setting ethos.

My Experience

I have level 3 in childcare and education, and level 6 in Childhood Studies.

I have a specialism in inclusive SEND practice and focus my work on Early years and Youth work. I have over 12 years experience of working with mixed ability children ages from newborn - 18 years old.

I also have experience as a pre-natal and post-natal doula.

My Qualifications

First class degree in Childhood Studies, with a focus on early years and youth work, specialising in SEN.
