Hi there and thank you for reading our profile! We have lived in Edinburgh for 20 years. I’m a doctor and my husband is an accountant. We have two lovely daughters, aged 6 and 4 years old.
My Requirements
We are looking for a long term live-out Nanny.
The following are the requirements of the role:
Requirements
===========
Full time, non-smoker nanny 8am to 5.45pm Monday to Friday on a permanent basis
Location: 4 Lochend Road, EH6 8BR
Job starting: on or around 21 June 2023
Our ideal nanny:
- Loves to interact and to care for our daughters
- Willing to adapt to the needs of our daughters as they grow, and also to our needs
- A positive, patient and keen personality
- already has a PVG qualification and Scottish Care Inspectorate registration (although we can help organise this on the successful candidate's behalf)
- Relevant nannying and education experience, particularly experience with this age group
- note that an ability to drive is not essential
Duties: on a daily basis:
- looking after the children and keeping them safe, pick up and drop off from school/nursery, keeping the kids fed and hydrated (e.g. feeding, food preparation, clean up of kitchen, children's rooms and play area after children). They are at school/nursery from around 9am to 2.30pm each day.
- keeping the kids clean and presentable (e.g. bath, dressed, and laundering clothing)
- organising activities for children and keeping them stimulated (e.g. taking them to school/nursery and classes, getting to practise basic language skills and arithmetic)
- As described in the earlier bullet points, willingness to help with light housework is essential
Remuneration
===========
The role is for 49.75 hours per week and the gross starting pay is £10.25 - £11 per hour (negotiated based on experience and ability to complete the duties independently and safely)
The nanny will also get 20 days' paid annual leave plus 8 days' paid bank holiday in any 12-month period.
