About Me
I'm the eldest of a large family (plus many cousins!), so caring for children has always come naturally to me—and something I truly enjoy. I grew up in a small fishing village near St Andrews, and at 18, I moved to Sydney, Australia, where I worked as a live-in au pair for two lovely girls, aged 4 and 7.
I took two gap years before university, during which I regularly worked as a private nanny and au pair, alongside a part-time career in fashion modelling. During the first lockdown, I supported my local community by working in a care home and completed several first aid courses, including basic medical training and a DBS check.
Since graduating, I’ve spent the past three years in London working in tech sales. I've recently been made redundant and am looking forward to a more meaningful and grounding summer, whilst evaluating my next corporate step for the end of the year. I'm hoping to support a family with childcare—returning to a role I love and truly value.
I also have a small, gentle, dapple dachshund named Hamish, who is great with children and will accompany me on this adventure!
My Experience
While caring for two young girls (aged 4 and 7) as a live-in au pair in Sydney, I worked during both term time and the summer holidays. My responsibilities included school drop-offs and pick-ups, preparing meals and snacks, planning creative indoor activities, organising outdoor adventures to the park or beach, helping with reading and early learning tasks, and settling them for bed with a calm evening routine. I also supported light housekeeping related to the children and was a consistent, warm presence in their daily routine.
I have supported children up to age 10 with personal care, including potty training and bathing and have experience chaperoning groups of children for school trips, hosting playdates and coordinating and attending dr/dentist appointments and extra curricular activities.

Full DBS check, first aid training and fire safety; food hygiene; working with vulnerable people; dementia training; emotional and mental health training.
