About Me
I am a down to earth, and friendly, young woman who has recently completed a level two qualification in social care, I am also university educated. I currently live in Edgbaston with my partner and our cat. I enjoy reading, going out to eat, going to the theatre and I have recently started running. I also love to bake.
My Experience
I have experience volunteering at a daycare centre for children and young people with additional needs, at the centre I Interacted with children and young people with disabilities, in a friendly and inclusive manner. I assisted in leading fun social activities such as arts and crafts, soft play, disco, days out to the beach and walks in the park. I also supported children and young people with additional needs in day to day activities and tasks, such as meal times, using the bathroom and personal care such as putting on coats and shoes.
In addition, I have many years of experience caring for younger family members and friends. I have babysat many of my younger cousins ranging from babies to toddlers. I have also cared for children aged between 5 and 15 in their homes.
Whilst on an exchange year in Australia I cared for a young teenager, and her friend, outside of the home by being a chaperone in the shopping centre.
