About Me
My name is Amanda. I am a highly regarded qualified NNEB nanny with over 18 years experience providing exceptional care to children from newborn to 14 years old. After 5 years my current job with a lovely family is coming to an end due to the youngest starting school in September. I have worked for 4 families, all long term & still have a great relationship with them all. I’ve also worked for BA as an in charge cabin crew member - this gave me the opportunity to work alongside charities visiting street children projects in Zambia, Rio De Janeiro, Calcutta and Nairobi. I thoroughly enjoyed flying but I’ve loved returning to the rewarding job of being a nanny. Originating from the Lake District, I have a love of travelling, the great outdoors and enjoy camping. I’m also a strong swimmer, having represented Great Britain as a synchronised swimmer.
My Experience
I am kind, caring and patient and have an interest in early years child development and education including EYFS. I have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent organisational skills. I’ve provided newborn care including bottle preparation, weaning and potty training. I enjoy creating a fun, secure & nurturing environment for children, organising age appropriate activities that enhance children’s physical, emotional and social wellbeing. I take pleasure in introducing children to nature and with previous families I’ve taken the children hiking, camping and on other educational trips. I’ve undertaken a paediatric first aid course, a food hygiene course and I hold an enhanced DBS.
Ideally I’m looking for a long term full time position with a baby, however I’d love hear back from you with further information about your requirements and hope that I may help you go about your daily life without you having to worry about your children.
