My Summary
About Me
Hi there! I’m Kathryn, a Psychology graduate currently studying for a Master’s degree in Early Child Development and Clinical Applications at UCL. I offer bespoke nannying and babysitting for children of all ages and am looking to relocate to London in mid-September 2024.
In 2023 I completed my BSc Psychology degree at Swansea University, achieving a 2.1 classification. I have spent over four years working in childcare, running my own childcare business, having worked with children and young people since 2020.
During the pandemic I worked full-time with children with disabilities. I now have over four years experience as a Nanny working with ages from 4 weeks up to 15 years. During my time at university I volunteered with their charity, managing thirty volunteers to run a student-led project which assisted children with their literacy skills. I also spent time making calls and writing letters to support disabled adults during the pandemic. Having the chance to run a youth group for children aged 7 to 14 was a particular highlight.
I would describe myself as friendly, reliable, fun and caring. In my spare time I love to read and swim! I believe that I have strong interpersonal skills and develop strong relationships with the families I work for.
I am deeply passionate about assisting families with their childcare needs, crafting fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities for kids, planning enjoyable days out, and being a being an individual who creates a nurturing atmosphere where the child feels both safe and happy in my presence.

My Experience
My experience is very varied, having worked as a Child Support Worker for children with disabilities, as a live-out Nanny, tutor and ad hoc babysitter. As you can see, many of my roles were not long term as they were completed within my year out from University (June 2020- September 2021) or during school holidays when I had returned home from University. I have currently been nannying full-time since June 2023.

Kathryn looked after our 5 month old baby boy over a big wedding weekend at the venue site. The wedding itself was the hottest day of the year and it was a very fancy (child-free) wedding and we were involved in the wedding party so we were a little stressed. But Kathryn made everything to do with our baby a breeze. She was excellent and put us completely at ease with her confidence and competence. Fantastic communication, warm, very organised and a calm presence. Our little boy was very chilled with her. I could not recommend Kathryn more highly.
Kathryn is one of my daughter's favourite babysitters and she's very picky indeed. Kathryn has the perfect mix of fun and responsible. She's responsive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Hi Ava, thank you so much for the review! I hope to see you both again very soon.
Kathryn is very reliable and my children warmed to her very quickly. They enjoy having her around and she has introduced them to new, fun activities. I would highly recommend her as a trustworthy babysitter.

Thank you so much Mel. It's been lovely helping out over the past month or so with your boys who are both absolute delights. I look forward to seeing you all again soon near the Christmas holidays.
