About Me

I am a self-employed nanny, childcare provider and sitter (as well as a proud mother and Grandmother!) I have a stellar reputation, extensive life experience and glowing references.

With a background in primary school education and over 15 years of diverse care experience, I specialize in providing compassionate, high-quality support tailored to individual needs. I have worked in a variety of settings, including primary schools, residential care homes, and private homes, offering services ranging from live-in Nanny roles to respite care to community support for adults with learning disabilities. My expertise spans working with children and adults, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities, as well as individuals living with dementia.

I am a warm, empathetic, and highly skilled caregiver with a passion for nurturing and empowering others. As a mother to three exceptional (now) adult children, I deeply understand the importance of consistency, accountability, and leading by example. My interpersonal skills, calm demeanor under pressure, and ability to connect with people of all ages make me an exceptional care provider.

Key Skills & Attributes:
• Extensive Care Experience: From babysitting and nannying to community support and respite care for families.
• Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in supporting individuals with special needs, including Autism, ADHD, and dementia.
• Exceptional Communication: Superb interpersonal skills and a talent for building trust and rapport.
• Lifestyle & Wellness: A strong advocate for health and well-being, I maintain a nutritious diet, exercise daily, and practice meditation for inner peace and clarity.
• Practical Skills: Confident and experienced driver with a clean license (25+ years), capable of driving both manual and automatic cars.

I love cooking, reading, and exploring new cultures and places. I am adaptable, flexible, and always eager to learn new skills. A non-smoker and an animal lover, I am committed to creating a safe, enriching, and positive environment for those in my care.

Above all, I take pride in making a meaningful difference in the lives of both “big people” and “little people” through kindness, integrity, and dedication.

My Experience

I have been fortunate to work with incredible families and individuals of all ages, gaining a wealth of hands-on experience in childcare, education and support roles. Each week I have the pleasure of engaging with wonderful people, including:
• A delightful 4-month-old baby.
• A vibrant 1-year-old.
• A fun-loving 4-year-old.
• A remarkable 95-year-old lady, with whom I provide companionship.

Recently, I worked full-time as a nanny for an inspirational family with four children. My responsibilities included:
• Sole charge of their 1-year-old daughter, supporting her baby-led weaning process since she was 3 months old.
• After-school care for their 5-year-old son with Down syndrome.
• Occasional homework assistance and meal preparation for their two older children (ages 10 and 12).
• Managing bath times, bedtime stories, and nighttime routines.

I am also a personal assistant and mentor to a wonderful 14-year-old girl diagnosed with ADHD. She has a fantastic personality, and our time together is both productive and fun.

I feel incredibly blessed to have gained invaluable experience working with such extraordinary families. Watching the progress of the children I care for has been deeply rewarding, and they have taught me so much in return.

Professional Background:

I spent eight years in primary education, primarily in Key Stage 1, specializing in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Special Educational Needs (SEN). I am passionate about learning through play, fostering relationships built on trust, stability, and consistency.

Understanding the importance of nurturing children with compassion, love, and fun, I have remained connected to many families over the years. For example, girls I taught in Reception once returned for a sleepover at my home before starting grammar school—a testament to the meaningful bonds I build.

Additional Experience

I am proud to offer Personal Assistant support across Kent and East Sussex, providing respite care for families by supporting both children and adults in their homes and the community. I have been registered with two sitter/childcare agencies for over 10 years, allowing me to expand my passion for childcare through incredible opportunities, including:
• Traveling to the south of France to care for a 1-year-old, where I provided nurturing, stimulating activities, housekeeping, and meal preparation.

From 2015 to 2020, I worked full-time as a care and support worker for adults with learning disabilities. This role allowed me to empower individuals to achieve independence while gaining invaluable interpersonal skills and training. Bringing joy and positivity to their lives was a privilege, and I continue to maintain relationships with some of the people I supported.

Personal Note

Raising my three exceptional children, now thriving adults, has been one of my greatest achievements. These experiences, combined with my professional roles, have given me a deep appreciation for the value of care, compassion, and adaptability.

Nushie stepped in at the last minute when we needed someone to look after our two children for the day. The children took to her immediately, really enjoyed their time with her, and have been saying how much they miss her since.
She clearly has a natural rapport with children, and has a very friendly, loving nature. I wouldn’t hesitate to employ her again, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering the same.

Nushi is a gold standard nanny. Nannied for our four children (4, 8, 10, 14), bringing games, warmth and happy vibes with her. Our children adore her so much! I really felt at ease with Nushi. Great communication, would highly recommend. Thank you Nushi 😊
