About Me
I am an enthusiastic and fun individual with 30 years experience in child care. I have lived in the local area for over 30 years and have 3 grown up children. Outside of work I enjoy walking, horse riding and spending time with my family. I plan to share my passion for exploring the outdoor environment with the children and have a large garden to enjoy a variety of play. I also look forward to visiting local spaces such as the duck pond, recreation ground and library to support their learning.
My Experience
I have over 30 years experience in childcare. I started at the local playgroup, caring for those aged 2 years to primary school age. Over the 30 years, I have expanded my qualifications to include a Diploma in preschool practice. My role has always involved keeping up to date with local policies and procedures such as first aid, safeguarding and child protection. After the play group I have worked in 3 nurseries, with experience in all age groups. This also involved working within different strategies and experiencing different ethos. In recent years I have been in a leadership role, running the baby room. This involves coordinating the daily routine and managing staff to ensure a safe environment in which children can learn and thrive.
My Qualifications
I have a Diploma in Pre-school Practice level 3.
First Aid.
Safeguarding and Child Protection.
Understanding Babies.
Food safety and Hygiene.
Designated Fire Officer.
