My Summary
About Me
Personal Details
I am a mother of two successful young adults; one of whom is a secondary school English teacher working in central London and the other, an investment analyst, acting as assistance Vice President for Barclays in Canary Wharf. I have loved watching and supporting my children thrive and hope to offer and share my parental expertise in another family environment. I have fused and combined my passion for children and my Montessori teaching to enhance the experience of my children and hope to offer the same to future parents and their children. I am also a dedicated, loyal and committed wife to my husband who is also very successful in his personal and professional field.
Professional history:
Nannying (June 2020-current)
Tutoring for key stage 1 and 2 in English and Maths
I have been a nanny for a family with three children of varying ages from B4, G7, and G9.
I have thoroughly enjoyed nurturing and enriching these children by fostering their development both socially and academically through fun and engaging activities.
Footprints Montessori Nursery Teacher (March 2017-March 2020): I was the pre-school room leader in my first year here where I managed and supported colleagues with daily routines, lesson planning and parental engagement. I supervised staff to ensure the highest quality of Montessori pedagogy was delivered to ensure the highest provision for all children. In my final two years here, I became the Montessori lead directress and the point of call for all Montessori teaching and learning.
Martyrs Green Nursery Montessori Certified Nursey Teacher, Ockham (May 2004-2017): My role here is to prepare the environment, nurture, promote physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth of children between the ages of two- five years old using Montessori teaching methods and philosophy. I have developed and honed these skills over the last twelve years at Martyrs Green, succeeding in my role with certain personal qualities which I believe are essential in implementing Montessori’s philosophy and these are a calm, patient and understanding nature. I give children one-one attention as well as maintaining overall focus on the entire group, recording, observing and incorporating the EYFS curriculum too. I work in a team nurturing a supportive Montessori learning environment to foster creativity and life learning skills, sharing responsibilities with colleagues, classroom management, planning to follow the children’s interests and above all coordinating with them. I have also contributed to in house training sessions, out of hours meetings, first aid, safe guarding and food hygiene courses.
Shere Montessori Nursery, Trained Nursey teacher, Shere (January 2003-May 2004): I was responsible for working in the pre-school room preparing the “Montessori” area of the room. Using teaching materials devised by Maria Montessori such as Language, Mathematics, Sensorial and Cultural subjects, I taught the children through play using these concrete methods. Furthermore, I also assisted in in the “long-term, mid-term and short term planning” and with lesson plans for both the pre-school and toddler rooms. Finally, in the toddler room, I gave the toddlers “cuddles” and ensured their well-being when required and helped cover staff who had been away in the baby room, enhancing my responsibilities among the pre-school, baby and toddler rooms.
Minnows Nursery, Nursery Assistant, Guildford (September 2000-2001): The role included assisting the toddler room and the three to five-year-old room. This involved applying the necessary skills for their cognitive development including looking after them, playing with them whilst also comforting and giving them love and support. During this time, I was in the process of studying my Montessori course.
Post Office Counters Clerk, Luton (1986-1992): I was in charge of one of three counters of an extremely busy Post Office. My duties included the day to day running of the Post Office, ordering stock and liaising with a diverse range of clients ranging from businessmen/women, pensioners, families and children. This furthered my mental arithmetic skills and my accounting/ book-keeping skills as I had to help with the recording of the weekly balance.

Geeta has looked after our toddler twice now, and she visited first to get to know us and our daughter. Geeta has a lot of experience in working with young children and provides reassurance which I really appreciate! She has a very calm presence and works hard to make sure our daughter is settled and having fun playing. We are really happy to have found Geeta :)
