My Summary

My Experience

i help out at a youth club for people with special needs on a weekly basis which i have been doing for roughly about 2 years.
I also help out as a buddy at a charity called Richmond Aid under their buddy up project, which is for people with special needs and/or disabilities which helps to make young people with special needs and/or disabilities more independent by matching each young person with an volunteer(buddy) who takes them out for a couple of hours each week to go to the cinema or to go bowling and helps them to access their local community. i have been a part of this project as a buddy for over 2 years including during covid-19 by hosting a variety of online sessions on zoom for clients each week.

i have also done the following training courses to help me with my volunteering role with both the youth club i help out at on a weekly basis and with the Richmond Aid buddy up project, these training courses include the following: advanced safeguarding children levels 1 and 2 and advanced safeguarding adults levels 1 and 2 and mental capacity, food hygiene, depression, health and safety and challenging behaviour.

i have also done both my bronze and silver duke of Edinburgh awards and i have got a DBS on the update service.

i have also helped out at my local infant school in year 1 as part of the work placement for my level 1 childcare course which i completed last year but i am still waiting on my certificate for this due to covid-19.

i also work as a sitter and befriender for a charity called RUIls which helps to provide help and support for families with young/vulnerable people with special needs which i do part time.

i have also got a jack Petchey award which i received for the amount of activities and volunteering i took part in during my 5 years of being a volunteer police cadet which i was forced to leave when i turned 19 due to my age.

My Qualifications

advanced safeguarding children and adults levels 1 and 2, mental capacity, food hygiene, depression, health and safety and challenging Behaviour and level 1 childcare which i completed last year but i am still waiting on my certificate for this due to covid-19 and i have got a full driving license.
I am also fully covid-19 vaccinated.

My Availability

i am available on Mondays during the day until about 5pm, Tuesdays after school and in the evenings Thursdays from about 11am onwards, Fridays only in the afternoon between midday and 4pm, Saturday any time after 5pm and Sunday from 2pm onwards. This can be flexible if required.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

15 per hour this includes a £2 contribution towards the fuel I will use to go to and from the family home as I drive to all clients to help reduce the risk of me catching Covid-19
